Gift Planning
Full Circle
Rosalie “Randy” Halsey Frost 59 GD P 97 and Corwin “Corky” Frost 59 AR P 97, who celebrated their 65th reunion in 2024, joined the Jesse + Helen Rowe Metcalf Society by making generous gifts in honor of the institution that helped bring them together.
First introduced by a mutual friend, Randy and Corky got to know each other while Randy was pursuing her BFA in graphic design at RISD and Corky was a graduate student in architecture. Shortly after graduating, they married. They had children—artist and entrepreneur Anne Frost Morse 97 GD and artisan and architectural designer Halsey Frost—and established distinguished careers.
Randy is an educator, painter and innovative quilt artist whose fabric-based work has been collected by museums, shown widely and commissioned, and Corky is an award-winning architect who also worked extensively with CBS, Inc., the City University of New York and the Newark, New Jersey, Public Schools.
Now, the Frosts are donating their 500+ volume architectural library, a rich resource for research and teaching, to Fleet Library and have established the Corwin (“Corky”) Frost 59 AR P 97 and Rosalie (“Randy”) Halsey Frost 59 GD P 97 Fund through a planned gift. This endowed fund will help build a permanent funding source for the library’s critical services, from acquisitions and exhibitions to publications, events and digital resources.
“Randy and I met at RISD and because of RISD,” Corky says. “We wanted to recognize the institution with a bequest and endowment. Speaking for both of us, it felt like the right thing to do.”
